BONTU at the Torino Show: The 2026 Salone Auto Torino concluded successfully. BONTU, a Chinese brand specializing in lightweight urban electric mobility, made another appearance in Italy, showcasing a four-wheeled electric vehicle that has already secured full EU L7e type-approval, thereby further accelerating its market entry into Southern Europe.
Held in the heart of the city—spanning Piazza Castello, Piazza Reale, and the Royal Museums Gardens—this edition of the Torino Motor Show stands as one of Europe’s largest free public automotive exhibitions, bringing together 47 vehicle brands. Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturers emerged as a major focal point of the event; unlike most exhibitors who focused on mainstream passenger vehicles, BONTU concentrated its product strategy on European urban micro-mobility, delivering comprehensive electric mobility solutions tailored to three key scenarios: individual short-distance commuting, compliant personal transport for young people, and last-mile urban logistics.
As the brand's flagship passenger models for the European market, the BTE05 and BTE06 measure 3 meters in length and offer a choice of two- or four-seat configurations. Classified under the L7e category, they comply with European regulations allowing drivers as young as 16 to operate them. With a maximum range of up to 222 kilometers, they strike a balance between urban maneuverability and practical driving range.
Throughout the three-day exhibition, the BONTU booth hosted a steady stream of general visitors, prospective distributors from across Europe, and industry media. Visitors focused their inquiries on vehicle regulatory compliance, total cost of ownership, spare parts availability, and local after-sales support systems. BONTU’s overseas team engaged in in-depth discussions with industry partners and gathered firsthand insights from European end-users regarding their pain points and product preferences for light electric vehicles; this information will serve as a valuable reference for future product iterations and regional market strategy adjustments.
To ensure the steady growth of its European operations, BONTU has established a spare parts and after-sales center in Italy. This facility supports a distributor network spanning countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Spain, and Norway, thereby guaranteeing efficient after-sales service in overseas markets. The company is also currently conducting a feasibility study on localized production in Europe.
Leveraging the Turin Motor Show—a platform open to both the general public and the industry—BONTU is further solidifying the foundation of its market presence in Europe. Moving forward, BONTU remains committed to refining compliant, reliable light electric vehicles tailored to the actual mobility needs of European cities, expanding diverse channel partnerships, and consistently delivering highly adaptable green urban mobility solutions.
